Adventure Options
Pika-Adventures offers several possibilities for you to experience and choose from. A popular choice is the Snowshoe Adventure through the snowy Rocky Mountains. It’s a winter wonderland on snowshoes where you’ll not only enjoy nature but get to have a full body workout.
The trees and mountain tops are covered in powder and animal tracks and silence are in sight. You’ll get to warm up with a hot beverage and cookies on this adventure, plus they provide the hiking poles. This is a full day experience for $75 or for the same price try the cross-country skiing adventure through Kananaskis Country.
The day hiking adventure is your chance to get a guided tour throughout the Kananaskis Country and nearby National Parks. There are bird watching options and they will work with you on your interests and fitness level. Pricing is also $75 with a minimum of two people required.
Guests are welcome to customize their day or multi-day tour with Pika-Adventure. Some people choose to hike and camp in the back-country or stay in lodging after a day of sightseeing.

Pika-Adventures Inc. is located at 294 Sunset Common in Cochrane. Founder and operator Heike Urban opened the company after years of guiding groups through British Columbia and Alberta for various companies. She wanted to start her own company that focused on small groups and eventually they opened a bed and breakfast to accompany the adventure packages.
Not only do they offer adventures but you can stay at “The Pika” Bed & Breakfast, a short distance from historic downtown Cochrane. You’ll get amazing views and access to biking and hiking trails on Sunset Ridge. The B&B offers two guestrooms with a shared bath, a guest living room, a front porch and a rear deck. You’ll receive a continental style self-serve breakfast with your stay.
