Restaurant Spotlight: Texas Gate
Texas Gate Steakhouse and Grill has so much to offer while you are staying in the Rockyview Hotel (#2 of 6 B&Bs by TripAdvisor) or just passing through the great town of Cochrane. Hours and Information
In case you don't recognize the name of the hotel, it was formerly Canyon Rose Dining Room. It is now open from 8am until 8pm, seven days a week. You will enjoy the featured fifty seat dining room with fantastic home-cooked food. Weather permitting, you and your kids will enjoy the sixty seat outdoor patio. The Texas Gate Bar renovated 9 VLTs, twelve high-definition, two 110-inch big screen televisions, four dart boards, and three pool tables.
The Menu
The new look is staffed by some of the friendliest folks in town. A full menu is available daily from 11 am until 10 pm. For children twelve and under a special menu is provided including pop. Look at some of the daily specials; you will be pleased.
- Tuesday: 35 Cent Wing Night from 4 pm until 10 pm
- Thursday: Karaoke from 9 pm until 2 am
- Sunday: Free Pool Offered all day
- Daily: Hi-balls ($4.75) and Beer (Draft $4.25) from Open until Close
- Daily: AAA 6-ounce Steak Sandwich ($6.95) 11 am until 8 pm
The Bar & Grill offers specially marked items that are quick, gluten-free, or vegetarian. Remember the beef is rated AAA and is Alberta grown stock. How superb is that?
